Our take
- Best for
- A small or mid-size firm that already bills in QuickBooks and wants one place for recurring jobs, owners, and due dates.
- Not ideal if
- A firm that needs a client portal, e-sign, and invoices in the same subscription, or that needs the software to categorize the client's books.
- Standout
- You template a recurring service once, assign it in bulk, and push a later edit across the open jobs instead of editing each client by hand.
About Jetpack Workflow
Jetpack Workflow is the job list for an accounting or bookkeeping firm. You build a template for a monthly close, a payroll run, or a tax return, set how often it repeats, and assign it to one client or a filtered group. Each job has an owner and a due date. Client details sit on the project, so the notes are not in a separate CRM. A change to a template can be pushed across existing jobs. The company's product notes say it does not handle billing or invoicing, and that a client portal and document management are out of scope unless you pair it with tools you already use.
TaxDome and Canopy keep the portal, the documents, and the invoices with the jobs. Double is where the close happens on the client's QuickBooks Online or Xero file. Jetpack is the narrower tool: the recurring work and the deadline. You keep billing in your ledger. The QuickBooks page says you can import clients and staff from QuickBooks Online and push time back so invoices or payroll run there. The same company's product file, updated September 9, 2026, says that QuickBooks Online and Zapier connections exist on version 1 and are still on the roadmap for version 2.
Firms stay when the pain is a missed deadline, not a missing invoice. The owner opens one board and sees what is due and who owns it, instead of asking what happened last quarter. Premium adds time logs, budget versus actual, and a capacity view. Starter is the recurring work itself.
Pricing
Starter is $49 per user per month, or $40 billed annually ($480 a year). Premium is $59 monthly or $50 annually ($600 a year) and adds time, capacity, and budget versus actual. Five people on Starter annual are $200 per month. The same five on Premium annual are $250 per month. Everyone must share one plan. Seat changes are prorated. Document storage is $5 per 100GB. Onboarding is listed at $1,500 once, which conflicts with a product file that says it is included. Enterprise is custom. A 14-day trial needs no card.
Starter
Firms putting recurring client work on one system. Annual billing is $40 per user per month, or $480 per user for the year, paid up front. A 14-day trial does not require a card. Minimum one seat. Every user must share this plan and billing cycle.
- Unlimited projects, clients, and templates
- Recurring schedules and change management
- Live chat and email support
- Annual rate is $40 per user per month
Premium
Firms that also need time, capacity, and budget versus actual. Annual billing is $50 per user per month, or $600 per user for the year.
- Everything in Starter
- Time tracking and time logs
- Budget versus actual reports
- Weekly and yearly capacity management
- Annual rate is $50 per user per month
Enterprise
Larger firms that ask for security controls and a named contact. The price is not published.
- SSO
- Dedicated account manager
Document storage
Optional add-on on the pricing page for files attached to clients, projects, tasks, and comments. The help article says storage is account-based, includes 100GB, and adds more in 100GB steps. It does not repeat the $5.
- Attach files to clients, projects, tasks, and comments
- Listed at $5 per 100GB on the pricing page
- Available on Starter and Premium
Onboarding setup and training
Optional package on the pricing page. A success manager sets up workflows and trains the team. A separate product file says onboarding, training, and support are included at no extra cost. Treat the $1,500 as optional until sales confirms it.
- Workflow setup for the firm
- Training for team members
- Listed as a one-time add-on on the pricing page
How it hits your books
- Replaces your ledger
- No
- QuickBooks Online
- Partial
- Inventory
- No
- Payroll
- No
You can template the monthly close as tasks and due dates. Jetpack does not review transactions or post journal entries. If the QuickBooks Online connection is available on your version, time can go back to QuickBooks so the invoice is created there. You still reconcile and lock the period in the ledger.
There is no client portal or tax binder in the product. A handoff is the job history inside Jetpack, plus whatever you already store in QuickBooks or a file share. The company says firms that need a portal or document management pair Jetpack with other tools.
Features
- Recurring jobs from one template
- Set the tasks and custom fields for a service, then set the cadence. Assign the schedule to one client or to a filtered group. Notifications fire off due dates. Starter includes unlimited projects, clients, and templates, plus live chat and email support.
- Push a template change across open work
- Edit the template once and apply the change to existing projects and tasks, instead of opening every client job. The homepage calls this change management. It is listed on Starter.
- See who is overloaded
- Premium adds capacity management on a weekly and yearly view, so you can see load before you assign the next close. Starter does not include this view. The pricing page lists it only on Premium.
- Track time and compare it with the budget
- Premium adds time tracking, time logs, and budget versus actual reports. Starter does not. The help article says every user on an account must be on the same plan, and you can switch between Starter and Premium with a prorated charge or credit.
- Send time to QuickBooks Online
- The QuickBooks page says you can import clients and team members from QuickBooks Online and push timesheets back for invoicing or payroll. Jetpack still does not create the invoice. Product notes updated September 9, 2026 say this connection, and Zapier, are on version 1, with version 2 still on the roadmap. Confirm which app a new trial opens before you count on the sync.

Pick something else instead of Jetpack Workflow
Double
When to pick Double instead: you want the monthly close done on the client's QuickBooks Online or Xero file, not only a checklist of who owes the work.
TaxDome
When to pick TaxDome instead: you need the client portal, e-sign, and invoices in the same system as the pipeline.
Canopy
When to pick Canopy instead: tax-season intake, organizers, and firm billing matter as much as the recurring job list.
