Our take
- Best for
- Accounting firms that want notes, follow-up drafts, and action items in Double, Karbon, or Financial Cents, billed per advisor.
- Not ideal if
- A firm that needs the close, the portal, or a quoted firm-wide intelligence layer before it will switch, and anyone who wants a single published price for the whole team.
- Standout
- Unlimited meetings on the published plans, with a cheaper lite seat for staff who only need to read the notes.
About Ping Assistant
Ping joins Zoom, Google Meet, or Teams for an accounting firm and writes notes, action items, and a follow-up draft. Pro adds inbox sorting and reply drafts. Scaling, which is quoted, adds health scores, upsell and cross-sell flags, and churn alerts. Action items can be sent to Double, Karbon, or Financial Cents, and the integrations page also lists calendars, Anchor, and Ignition.
Double (formerly Keeper) closes the client file. Canopy and TaxDome run the portal, the pipeline, and billing. Ping does not replace those. It remembers what was said and puts the next step where the team already works. It does not categorize bank feeds or file a return.
Firms stick when the follow-up is drafted after the call, and when notes can stay with the firm after an advisor leaves. The pricing FAQ ties that shared history to client intelligence on the top plan. Every published plan says meetings are unlimited, so the bill is per person, not per recording minute.
Pricing
Best Note Taker is $35 per user per month, or $28 if billed annually. Pro is $50, or $40 annually. Scaling is a quote. Lite seats are $10 a month on the first two plans and $20 on Scaling. The homepage says everyone gets two weeks free, a live demo can make that a month, and no card is required. There is no per-minute meeting cap on the pricing page. A fair-use line says the limits are meant to stay out of a normal workload. What Scaling actually costs for a 5- or 10-person firm is not published.

How it hits your books

Close stays in the ledger and in Double if you use it. Ping can hand action items to Double, Karbon, or Financial Cents. It does not code the bank feed.
You can share notes and action items. Ping does not produce a trial balance, a 1099 file, or a return.
Features
- Notes and action items from the call
- Ping joins Zoom, Google Meet, or Teams and writes notes, assigns action items, and drafts a follow-up. The pricing page says every plan includes unlimited meeting notes. A fair-use note says normal professional volume is the intent.
- Prep and search past meetings
- Best Note Taker lists meeting prep and AI chat across meetings. You can look up an earlier conversation instead of scrolling a recording library. Accounting terms are called out on the pricing FAQ as something the notes are tuned for.
- Email drafts on Pro
- Pro adds AI email categorization, inbox reply suggestions, a smart reply library, and email search. The FAQ prices this at $40 per user per month on annual billing, or $50 month to month. Email help is unlimited on Pro and Scaling, with the same fair-use note.
- Firm-wide signals on Scaling
- Scaling is a quote. The feature list adds client health scoring, staff performance reporting, upsell detection, cross-sell detection, churn alerts, new advisory recommendations, custom onboarding, SAML and SCIM, and dedicated support. The FAQ also says this plan unlocks client intelligence, while the feature group above it lists client intelligence under Best Note Taker. That conflict is unresolved.
- Send the work to the practice tool
- The integrations page lists Double (formerly Keeper), Karbon, and Financial Cents, plus Ignition and Anchor. Calendar and email connections include Google and Microsoft. ChatGPT and Claude can pull meetings through an MCP connector.
- Lite seats for people who do not lead calls
- View-only seats for support staff are $10 per seat per month on Best Note Taker and Pro, and $20 per seat per month on Scaling. Full price is for the people who lead the meetings.

Pick something else instead of Ping Assistant
Double
Pick Double instead if the job is the monthly close on QuickBooks Online or Xero, not the meeting note.
TaxDome
Pick TaxDome instead if you need proposals, the portal, and the pipeline more than a notetaker.
Canopy
Pick Canopy instead if tax workflow, documents, and billing are the gap, and meeting notes are a side issue.
