Our take
- Best for
- A finance team that wants QuickBooks or Xero actuals to keep updating an Excel or Google Sheets consolidation, budget, or board file.
- Not ideal if
- A team that wants to leave QuickBooks Online for a new ledger, or a shop that needs a published monthly price before talking to sales.
- Standout
- Reports stay in Excel or Google Sheets and refresh from QuickBooks or Xero, including a multi-entity consolidation with intercompany elimination and FX.
About LiveFlow
LiveFlow FP&A is the spreadsheet product on liveflow.com. The Excel page says it connects QuickBooks or Xero to Microsoft Excel and syncs reports. The Google Sheets page says the same for Sheets. You keep the formulas in the sheet. The Sheets page says a chart-of-accounts change updates the model without a fresh export. Consolidation on the product page covers account mapping, reports by class, region, or department, intercompany elimination, custom FX or built-in rates across 160+ currencies, and ownership percentages with custom dates. You still categorize, reconcile, and lock the period in the accounting file.
Fathom and Spotlight Reporting build the pack inside their own app, on QuickBooks Online or Xero. Jirav is a three-statement planning model in its own workspace. Vena and Datarails are Excel planning suites with a central database and a quote. LiveFlow is the path that leaves the report in the Google Sheet or Excel file and refreshes it from the ledger. The same website also sells Flow, which its FAQ calls an AI-native ERP and a replacement for QuickBooks Online. That is a different product from LiveFlow FP&A. Buying the spreadsheet sync does not move your books into Flow.
Finance teams stay when the board file is already a spreadsheet and the monthly pain is pasting a QuickBooks or Xero export. The pricing page lists consolidation, budget versus actuals, cash-flow forecasting, department and project reporting, and AP and AR reporting as included, and it does not show a dollar amount. They stay if someone owns the sheet. A live link to a messy ledger just refreshes the mess.
Pricing
On 12 Oct 2026 https://liveflow.com/pricing showed a demo button and a list of included work (consolidation, budgets, cash forecast, department and project reports, AP and AR). No dollar amount, user fee, or entity fee is published. There is no way to price a 5-person or 500-transaction shop from the page. The same site sells Flow, a separate QuickBooks Online replacement, and the pricing page does not split the two products into priced packages.
Custom
The pricing page says pricing is tailored to what you need and sends you to book a demo. No dollar amount or named tier is published.

You still reconcile and lock the month in QuickBooks or Xero. LiveFlow FP&A refreshes the spreadsheet and can eliminate intercompany balances in the consolidation. It does not post the close back as the books of record.
The handoff is the Excel or Google Sheets file, refreshed from the ledger, plus any consolidation report you build there. LiveFlow FP&A does not file returns. 1099 support was not documented. If you move to Flow, that is a different system and a different handoff.
Features
- Sync QuickBooks or Xero into a sheet
- The Excel product page meta description says connect QuickBooks or Xero to Microsoft Excel and sync reports. The Google Sheets page says the same for Sheets. A help article shows connecting another QuickBooks account from inside LiveFlow: open LiveFlow, choose Connect Another Account, connect the other QuickBooks account. The pages opened say QuickBooks, not Online versus Desktop.
- Let the chart of accounts move
- The Google Sheets page says new general-ledger accounts are picked up and models update without a fresh export or broken formulas. You still edit the sheet. The page says other people can view financials in Google Sheets without opening the accounting system.
- Consolidate entities in the model
- The consolidation page describes account mapping, board-level and custom reports, class or region or department filters, one-click intercompany elimination, FX in 160+ currencies with built-in or custom rates, and ownership percentages with custom dates. The books for each entity stay in the source ledger.
- Budget against live actuals
- The pricing page lists budgeting and forecasting, budget versus actuals, cash-flow forecasting, department reporting, project reporting, and AP and AR reporting as included. FinanceIQ is the budgeting product link from the FP&A page. No plan split shows which of those items cost extra.
- Keep Flow separate from the spreadsheet
- The site FAQ for Flow says Flow is an AI-native ERP that unifies accounting, AP and AR, and FP&A, and that Flow is a replacement for QuickBooks Online. LiveFlow FP&A is the product that sits on the accounting software you already have, including QuickBooks and Xero. Do not treat a Flow demo as the spreadsheet connector.

Audience
Pick something else instead of LiveFlow
Fathom
Pick Fathom instead if you want the management pack and forecast inside a reporting app, with a published price per company, and you do not need the model to live in Google Sheets.
Jirav
Pick Jirav instead if the budget should live in an FP&A workspace with a three-statement model, not in the spreadsheet your team already maintains.
Spotlight Reporting
Pick Spotlight Reporting instead if you want a client or management pack on QuickBooks Online or Xero and you are fine importing results into Spotlight rather than a live sheet.
