Versapay

Send invoices to a customer portal, collect ACH or card, match cash, and post the trail to NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or Dynamics.

Best for

Mid-market finance teams on NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or Dynamics that want buyers to view, dispute, and pay invoices in one portal, then have cash post back to the ERP.

Not ideal if

A 1–50 person US shop on QuickBooks Online or Xero. There is no published connector, no public price, and BILL or the ledger's own invoicing will stand up faster.

Standout

A shared customer portal where the buyer and the AR team look at the same invoice, then cash application posts the payment to the ERP.

About Versapay

Versapay is the accounts receivable and B2B payments layer, not the ledger. You send invoices from NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or Microsoft Dynamics into a branded customer portal. Buyers view balances, store ACH or card, set AutoPay, short-pay with a reason code, and comment on disputes. Versapay matches incoming ACH, card, wire, and check remittance to open invoices and posts the payments back to the ERP. You still close those books.

It does not replace QuickBooks Online or Xero, and it does not publish a connector for either. BILL is the US-priced AP and AR seat product that syncs to QuickBooks or Xero on Team. Stripe collects card and ACH on invoices you already send. Kick replaces the ledger instead of sitting next to it. Versapay's job is portal invoicing, collections queues, cash application, and card or ACH acceptance, then write the trail back to the mid-market ERP you already have.

People who stick are finance teams on NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or Dynamics with enough invoice volume that PDF-and-email AR is the bottleneck. Controllers keep it for the buyer portal, interchange optimization on B2B cards, and one remittance inbox instead of lockbox files plus a spreadsheet.

What people who used it say

What they tend to like

  • One invoice record for buyer and AR

The portal is the reason teams keep it: buyers view, dispute, and pay the same invoice the collector sees, which cuts resend-the-PDF email.

  • Payments stay inside the ERP

NetSuite shops can send a pay-now invoice and have the payment post without leaving the SuiteApp. Official page: SuiteCloud Partner of the Year, payments in NetSuite since 2015.

  • Remittance matching across lockbox and ACH

Controllers who still get checks and detached remittance files want one matching engine, not a bank keystroke fee plus a spreadsheet.

What they hesitate about

  • NetSuite payment gateway and support

An r/Netsuite thread titled the integration as one critical issue after another: weak fit with native NetSuite payment and accounting settings, plus poor customer service.

  • The portal only works if buyers log in

Smaller or less process-driven customers ignore the invite and keep emailing. Collections then fall back to dunning email, not a shared record.

  • Field check-capture app crashes

US App Store reviews in 2025 say Versapay Mobile Payments closes on launch or asks for a QR code with no support reply. That app is employee check capture, not the buyer portal.

You invoice, collect, and apply cash in Versapay, then payments and invoices sync to NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or Dynamics. Close is still reconcile and lock the period in that ERP. Unapplied payments, short-pays, and lockbox exceptions still need a person. Official reporting page tracks DSO, ADP, promise-to-pay, disputes, credit-limit warnings, and unapplied cash.

The CPA still opens the ERP. Versapay holds the portal trail, remittance files, dispute comments, and AR dashboards. It does not hand over a QuickBooks file or e-file 1099s.

Features

Send invoices into a customer portal

Invoices go out as branded electronic presentment, not a PDF pile. Buyers view history, store ACH or card, enroll in AutoPay, apply credits, and pay one invoice or many. Official invoicing page: generate and deliver from NetSuite, Business Central, Intacct, or another connected ERP.

Collect from a risk-ranked work queue

Segment customers, assign collectors, and run 100+ configurable dunning notifications. Official collections page: AI payment prediction, promise-to-pay tracking, dispute filters, and auto-prioritized tasks. It automates email and portal follow-up. It does not place outbound collection calls.

Match remittance and post cash to the ERP

OCR and machine learning read ACH, wire, check, and detached remittance from email, PDF, EDI, AP portals, or a lockbox. Official cash-application page: 90%+ straight-through processing on a good remittance file; short-pays and deductions route to a person. Payments made in the portal are matched automatically.

Accept ACH, card, wire, and virtual card

Versapay is the payment facilitator. Official payments page: ACH, credit cards, virtual cards, wires, and checks; next-day funding; Level 2 and 3 data for interchange; optional card surcharges; invoice in local currency and settle in USD or CAD. Per-method rates are not published.

Sync invoices and payments to the ERP you already have

Official integrations hub: pre-built connectors for Oracle NetSuite (SuiteApp), Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management, and MRI. File import or the API covers other ERPs. QuickBooks Online and Xero are not named.

Capture field checks on the employee app

Versapay Mobile Payments (iOS and Android) is for employees who photograph checks for the lockbox, not for buyers paying invoices. Buyers use the web portal (a mobile browser view exists). App Store reviews (2025) report the capture app crashing on open.

Pricing

There is no public rate card. Official budget article (2026): Versapay quotes after it understands invoice volume, customer count, seats, implementation, and whether you process payments on the platform. Payment processing is a percentage of each payment, on top of the subscription. Implementation and training are extra cost drivers. Official NetSuite page talks about shops processing $5M or $2B a year, not a 500-invoice QuickBooks file. A five-person US shop that only needs to email invoices and take ACH should use QuickBooks, BILL, or Stripe. There is no free plan.
