ABUKAI Expenses is a receipt OCR and expense-report service from ABUKAI, Inc. (San Francisco). It is not a ledger and not a corporate card program. You photograph receipts (or import PDFs / email them in), submit the batch, and ABUKAI's backend reads vendor, date, amounts, category, and currency. The finished report comes back by email as Excel plus a PDF of receipt images. Free and paid users also get CSV, OFX, and QuickBooks-oriented files for import. Through the User Portal you can link QuickBooks Online or Xero so processed expenses post there. Corporate accounts can match your existing Excel template or post into other expense, accounting, or ERP systems by arrangement.

It does not replace QuickBooks Online or Xero. Expensify finishes reports inside the same phone session with SmartScan. Zoho Expense adds self-serve policy and multi-step approvals. Ramp and BILL Spend & Expense issue cards and control spend at the swipe. ABUKAI's job is hands-off OCR that returns a finished report after you submit.

People who stick with it usually want someone else to type the receipt, not a full spend platform. Solo travelers and contractors use Free or Individual. Departments buy Standard or Custom Corporate for seats, portals, optional approvals, receipt review, and card matching. Expect processing by email after you submit, often within hours and up to about a day, not instant on-device OCR.
