About CCH SureTax
CCH SureTax is not the ledger. You connect NetSuite (SuiteTax), SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Acumatica, Adobe Commerce, or Salesforce Commerce Cloud. When you save a quote, order, or invoice, SureTax calculates US sales and use tax from current rates and rules and writes the amount back to that system. You still close in the ERP or the store. Add CCH SureTax Returns if you want the same calc data to fill and file US returns. Exemption Certificate Manager is a separate module.
That is a different job from TaxJar, which reports and AutoFiles US sales tax at published prices, or Anrok, which writes SaaS tax back onto QuickBooks Online or Xero. Avalara is the other engine with a documented QuickBooks Online and Desktop path plus published Select prices. Vertex is the other ERP-class quote engine (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Shopify). Stripe Tax lives on Stripe charges. Native QuickBooks Online sales tax can be enough for one or two states. CCH SureTax is Wolters Kluwer's corporate sales-tax engine: one policy on the systems they name, sold through sales. It is not CCH Axcess or CCH ProSystem fx.
People who stick have a tax team (or a SureTax-literate partner), already live in NetSuite, SAP, or Dynamics, and need one engine instead of a cart plugin plus a spreadsheet of returns. Telecom, energy, construction, and manufacturing shops keep it for industry tax content. Official FAQ says a typical implementation is 60 to 90 days. A custom quote is the cost of that.
Pricing
Contact sales. Official US pages publish no dollar price and no per-state ladder. A support order form describes annual pricing by unique addresses or line items, with quarterly overages; it does not publish a starter dollar. A 5-person, ~500-transaction shop is not in this sales cycle. Third-party marketplaces guess five to six figures a year; those are not official and should not ship as a starting price.

You still close in the ERP. The tax team reviews SureTax determinations against the GL, then CCH SureTax Returns (Standard, File & Remit, or Fully Outsourced).
Export reports from SureTax Views, or hand over submission-ready Returns. Most US CPAs will not implement the engine. Wolters Kluwer also sells Returns to CPA firms as a separate page; that is not CCH Axcess.

- CCH SureTax ECM is the lower-volume certificate module. Premium ECM Powered by CERTifyTax is the high-volume, complex path. Official dashboard copy flags expiring certificates. This is a quoted module, not a free Shopify toggle.
- Watch nexus and report from one log
- Official Calculation copy: identify nexus obligations and log transaction details in one place. SureTax Views builds customizable reports (exempt sales by reason, granular sales and tax). The product dashboard also flags nexus thresholds.
- Rates, rules, and citations
- Official Rates & Rules copy: current content across 26,000+ US jurisdictions and 100,000+ annual updates, with citations so you can see which rule applied. CCH SureTax Investigator (research UI or API) is a separate add-on. Contact sales for that SKU.

Anrok
