Our take

Best for
A controller on NetSuite, SAP Business One, Acumatica, or a similar ERP who wants invoice capture and close prep without replacing that ERP.
Not ideal if
A US small business that wants to connect a bank and pay vendors by ACH from the AP tool.
Standout
AP matching and close tasks (reconciliations, draft journals, flux) are prepared by agents against the ERP, and a person approves the post.

About Dokka

Dokka sits on the ERP you already run. On the AP side, it reads an invoice header and the lines, suggests coding, routes approval, matches the bill to a purchase order and a receipt, and prepares the record to post. On the close side, separate agents build reconciliation workpapers, draft journal entries and accruals, and review balance changes. A person still approves what hits the ERP. Dokka names NetSuite, SAP Business One, Acumatica, QuickBooks, Xero, Priority, and Sage, and it offers an API when your ERP is not on that list.

Stampli, Vic.ai, and Tipalti are AP products: capture, code, approve, and, for Tipalti, pay suppliers worldwide. Bill.com adds US payments and customer invoices. FloQast is a close checklist your team ticks. Dokka's difference is that the agents prepare the match, the coding, and parts of the close against ERP data, instead of only storing the PDF or tracking a task. The ERP stays the ledger. The product pages describe posting into it. They do not describe a US ACH payment network.

Controllers keep it when invoice volume is high and the ERP is not up for replacement. The team reviews exceptions, suggested approvers, and draft journals instead of rekeying. The books they already trust stay put.

Pricing

No price is published on the homepage, the AP page, the close page, the integrations page, or the about page. Expect a quote, and expect implementation time. Dokka says a typical go-live is about two to four weeks. A 5-person shop cannot tell from the site whether this is a few hundred dollars a month or an annual contract. Ask which module you are buying, AP or Close or both, before you compare it with a per-bill tool.

Dokka AP and Close

contact

No public price. The site sells Dokka AP, Dokka Close, or both, and says go-live is measured in weeks. You have to ask for a quote.

AP posts into the ERP, and Close can draft reconciliations, journals, and flux. The books of record stay in the ERP, and someone still reviews what the agents prepared.

A CPA gets the ERP, plus Dokka's document trail (who imported, approved, and changed a bill). 1099 filing and a QuickBooks-only handoff were not documented. QuickBooks is named without Online versus Desktop.

Features

Read the invoice and prepare it for the ERP
The invoice agent extracts header and line items, checks for missing or inconsistent fields, and learns coding from later corrections. You review, then the bill is prepared for posting. The ERP remains the system of record.
Route approval, including a suggested approver
You can set approval rules, or let Dokka suggest an approver from past bills for that supplier. Reminders and escalation are part of the approval agent. Approvers work from the AP workspace, which also stores the document and the audit trail.
Match the PO before the bill posts
Two-way and three-way matching compare the invoice to the purchase order and the receipt. Price and quantity breaks are surfaced for review instead of posting straight through.
Run close work against the same ERP data
Dokka Close is a separate module: reconciliation workpapers, draft journals and accruals, flux review down to transactions, and a consolidation view across entities. Excel workpapers can be uploaded and tied back to ERP transactions. You can buy AP, Close, or both.
Connect the ERP you already post to
Named on the site: NetSuite, SAP Business One, Acumatica, QuickBooks, Xero, Priority, and Sage. An API covers ERPs that are not listed. QuickBooks is not labeled Online versus Desktop on the pages read. ISO 27001 and a SOC 2 examination are claimed on the about page.
