About MMC Convert
MMC Convert is a one-time file conversion service, not a ledger you log into every week. You load the source company (or connect both apps on the self-serve path), pick Basic or Full Transactional, pay, and leave the file with their team. They map the chart of accounts, contacts, open bills and invoices, and one historical year plus year-to-date, then hand you a company in the destination system. You still close, rec, and reconnect bank feeds in that new file.
It does not replace QuickBooks Online or Xero. Kick is the opposite: Kick is a new US ledger you start from bank feeds. Puzzle can take a QuickBooks Online file as monthly summary journals if Puzzle is where you want the books. MMC Receipt is the same group's ongoing receipt-capture app, not this conversion job. MMC Convert's job is a paid historical transfer (sometimes Intuit-sponsored in Australia) when you have already chosen a new system and need more than opening balances.
People who use it are owners and accountants switching systems who want invoices, bills, and bank lines in the new file, not just a trial balance. They pick it for the published AUD cards and for the Xero or QuickBooks Online API push. After handover the work is yours: compare the trial balance, age AR and AP, bulk-rec the imported bank lines, then turn the live bank feed back on.

You still have to rec and check
Official self-serve checklist requires a purge of the destination QBO file, source rec first, then bulk-rec imported banks before live feeds. That work does not disappear because someone else pushed the lines.

Close in the destination file. Compare trial balance, P&L, balance sheet, and AR/AP aging to the source. Bulk-rec imported bank and card lines before you reconnect live feeds. MMC is not in the monthly loop after the query window (7 days on the Xero listing).
The destination company is the handoff. Self-serve Xero-to-QBO emails comparative reports. You still need a person to check customer balances and rec. MMC does not stay on as bookkeeper.

Homepage path: upload the old company, pick the service, pay or approve a quote, leave the file, then receive a subscription transfer in the destination system. Xero-to-QBO Australia also has a self-serve tool that connects both files and shows live status. A Xero App Store review describes a newer connect-both-apps path that ran a QBO-to-Xero file in about an hour.
Basic vs Full Transactional packages
Both include chart of accounts, one historical year plus year-to-date, contacts, and bank-feed setup. Basic brings conversion-date balances plus open AR and AP. Full Transactional brings previous-FY balances plus all receivables and all payables, not only the open ones. Exclusive cards (MYOB Online and Desktop, QuickBooks Online, Reckon Hosted, Reckon One, Xero to Xero) start lower than the other-software cards.
Extra historical years, priced per year
Published add-on: A$85 per extra year on the exclusive cards, A$150 per extra year on other software. The live BookkeepDIY stub showed only these add-on figures. They are not the base conversion price.
Bank rec as fed, then you reconnect feeds
Homepage footnote: they rec bank lines as they sat in the source file. Packages list setting up bank feeds. On the Australia Xero-to-QBO self-serve path you must bulk-rec imported bank and card accounts in QuickBooks before you turn online banking back on.
What the 1-year-plus-YTD Xero job includes, and what it does not
Xero App Store list includes chart, customers, suppliers, inventory master, opening balances, aged AR/AP, bank and card lines, tracking categories, detailed invoices and bills, and manuals. Exclusions include budgets, tracked inventory, expense claims, projects, memorized transactions, invoice templates, timesheets, deleted or void items, and individual pay runs. Add-ons (extra charge, unpublished dollars): multi-currency, payroll, employee setup, custom chart, quotes/estimates/POs, fixed-asset register, repeating invoices. Free 30-minute onboarding call and query window of 7 days after conversion.
Australia QBO-sponsored moves, plus a PDF statement side job
Intuit Australia names MMC Convert as a migration supplier. Vendor blog: free 1-year-plus-YTD Xero-to-QBO for a single-currency Australia file (QBO AU Plus or Premium; empty destination file). MYOB-to-QBO Australia basic is also described as Intuit-subsidized, 5 to 20 business days. A separate PDF bank/credit-card statement-to-CSV/Excel upload exists; no public per-statement price on pages opened.
Pricing
A clean MYOB, QBO, Reckon, or Xero-to-Xero job on the exclusive cards is A$99 Basic or A$189 Full Transactional, plus A$85 per extra year. Desktop, Sage, Wave, and other named sources start at A$399 / A$549 plus A$150 per extra year. A 5-person US shop moving QuickBooks Desktop with three extra years is therefore the other-software card, not A$99. Payroll, multi-currency, attachments, quotes, and the fixed-asset register are extra with unpublished dollars. Australia QBO-sponsored 1-year-plus-YTD jobs can be A$0 when Intuit is paying. You still pay the destination subscription. PDF statement conversion has no public price.

Stay in QuickBooks, or use Intuit's own Desktop-to-Online path, if you do not need a third-party history job. MMC Convert is the mover, not the ledger.
MMC Receipt
Pick MMC Receipt instead if the job is ongoing receipt, bill, and statement capture into an accounting app you already have. That is a different product from this one-time file conversion.
