Travelbank

Book travel and file expenses on the cards you already have, then sync approved reports to QuickBooks Online.

Best for

US teams that want booking plus expenses on one platform without throwing away the commercial cards they already run.

Not ideal if

Anyone who needs a published all-in-one price they can start on tonight. Combined travel-plus-expense is a demo quote, and the product is a U.S. Bank company.

Standout

Card-agnostic sync: the trip and the expense can sit on the commercial cards you already issue, including U.S. Bank programs.

About Travelbank

TravelBank is a travel booking and expense app, not a ledger. Employees book flights, hotels, and cars inside the limits you set. Policy and 24/7 agents sit on the booking. Receipts go in by photo, email forward, or a card feed. TravelBank syncs the commercial cards you already run, or issues U.S. Bank Instant Card virtual cards. Approved expense reports can autosync to QuickBooks Online as bills or journal entries. You still close in those books.

It does not replace QuickBooks Online or Xero. That is the opposite of Kick. The pitch is the opposite of Ramp: keep the cards you have, then reconcile, instead of moving spend onto a new card program. Navan is the closer US booking-plus-expense stack if you want free travel under 300 employees and published expense seats. Perk is the other booking-plus-policy app with published spend prices. Expensify is the phone camera if people still pay out of pocket and you do not need a travel desk.

People who stick already have a commercial card they will not give up, often a U.S. Bank program, and they want booking and expenses in one app. Travelers stay on the phone. Finance gets a trip plus a card feed instead of three inboxes.

What people who used it say

What they tend to like

  • Keep the cards you already issue

Sync any commercial card, then reconcile. Virtual cards are optional via U.S. Bank Instant Card.

  • Booking and receipts in one phone app

App Store reviewers cite receipt snap, card pairing, and booking in the same login.

What they hesitate about

  • Buying it is a sales call

Travel-plus-expense has no public all-in price. Rebates need $250K of in-app travel.

  • Hard to fix a report after submit

An April 2025 App Store review said a built report could not be edited except for the name, and support did not reply.

You review exceptions in TravelBank, then QBO gets bills or journal entries. The vendor name defaults to TravelBank/NextView; the merchant goes in Description. Receipts attach. Close still happens in QuickBooks.

Invite the accountant to the QuickBooks Online file, or send the synced bills/journals plus receipt images. TravelBank does not produce a year-end tax package.

Features

Book flights, hotels, and cars in policy

Employees search and book in the web or mobile app. You set travel policies and approvals before the ticket is issued. Inventory includes 1 million-plus hotels and corporate negotiated rates.

Sync any card, then reconcile

Import charges from the commercial or personal cards you already issue and pair receipts to the feed. All-in-one lists card sync as unlimited and no charge. Virtual cards are a U.S. Bank Instant Card path.

Receipt capture, mileage, and reimbursements

Snap a receipt on iPhone or Android, forward email to [email protected], or upload an image. Mileage, split allocations, and custom approval flows sit on the all-in-one package.

QuickBooks Online autosync

Connect QBO and send approved reports (about once an hour) or posted transactions. Lines land as bills or journal entries and receipts attach. Support (21 Jul 2026) is QBO only, not Desktop. The vendor name in QBO defaults to TravelBank/NextView; the merchant goes in Description.

24/7 travel agents on the trip

In-house agents are listed via phone, chat, email, and Slack. Duty-of-care traveler tracking is on the all-in-one table.

Core Insights is one dashboard plus a small set of standard reports. Premium Insights (Elite travel, or all-in-one add-on language) lists 50-plus reports and custom export.
