Our take

Best for
AP and shared-service teams that already run SAP, Coupa, NetSuite, or a similar ERP and need documents checked before they hit it.
Not ideal if
A small company that needs receipt capture into QuickBooks Online or Xero at a bookkeeper price.
Standout
A validation screen plus master-data checks, with certified SAP and Coupa connectors called out on the pricing page.

About Rossum

Rossum reads transactional documents, checks them, and sends the approved data to the system that already holds the books. Invoices, orders, and similar paperwork arrive by email, upload, API, a scanner, PEPPOL, or a shared drive. A reviewer fixes exceptions on a validation screen. On the Business plan and above it can match master data, catch duplicates, and draft vendor emails. Approved data is what Rossum is willing to write downstream.

Dext, Hubdoc, and Veryfi publish receipts and bills into QuickBooks Online or Xero for a small company. DocuClipper converts PDF statements and invoices for those same files. Nanonets is the closer peer: a document workflow that can export a reviewed bill to QuickBooks Online or Xero. Rossum is the version for a shared-service or high-volume desk that already runs an ERP. The pricing and integrations pages name SAP, Coupa, NetSuite, Workday, Oracle, QuickBooks, and Sage. They do not describe a phone receipt app for a five-person shop.

Teams that stay have enough document volume to live with a year-long platform and an owner for the rules. Corrections on the validation screen are how the model learns the next document. The ledger, the bank rec, and the close stay in the ERP. Rossum is the paperwork in front of that close.

Pricing

Starter starts at $18,000 per year with unlimited seats, email or API intake, and a 12-month archive. Business, Enterprise, and Ultimate have no published price. The minimum contract is one year. Volume above the plan is an upgrade or a per-page charge the page does not price. Integrations, AP workflow extras, e-invoicing, and service plans are add-ons without prices. A 14-day trial exists. A shop doing about 500 transactions a month is not the buyer this sticker is written for. QuickBooks is named. Xero was not on the integrations pages opened.

Approved invoice data lands in the ERP. Someone still matches, posts, and closes there. Rossum does not reconcile the bank.

A CPA who does not have your SAP or Coupa login will not get a QuickBooks package from Rossum. The document archive lives in Rossum: 12 months on Starter, 3 years on Ultimate.

Features

Ingest invoices and other transactional documents
Starter includes email, API, and manual upload. The homepage also lists scanners, PEPPOL, and shared drives. The trial FAQ names invoices, sales orders, certificates of analysis, and packing lists. The homepage says the model handles handwriting and many languages. A reviewer corrects fields on a validation screen. Starter keeps a 12-month archive.
Validate against master data on Business and above
Business adds custom business logic, master data matching, duplicate detection, an intelligent mailbox, webhooks, and workflow reporting. The pricing page says this is where you can integrate SAP, Coupa, Workday, Oracle, and more. Starter does not list those ERP connectors.
Route approvals and write to the ERP
The homepage describes rules that approve or reject, then write validated data to the system of record. Vendor emails can go out for exceptions. Certified integrations called out on the pricing FAQ are SAP and Coupa. API and SFTP are the general path. QuickBooks is named on the pricing page without Online versus Desktop.
Add security and archive options on higher plans
Enterprise adds single sign-on, a sandbox, document translation, a preferred cloud location, and custom branding. Ultimate adds multi-document transactions, a custom email domain, an embeddable interface, another sandbox, and a 3-year archive. Those plan prices are not published.
Buy connectors and AP extras separately
Integrations are listed as an add-on, with SAP, Coupa, Oracle, Workday, QuickBooks, and more named there. Separate add-ons cover AP extras such as approval workflows and GL coding suggestions, e-invoicing intake, and service plans. Those add-on prices are not on the page.
Start with a 14-day trial, then a one-year term
The pricing FAQ says you can create an account and process sample documents for 14 days. The minimum contract is one year. If you pass the page volume on the plan, you upgrade or pay per extra page. The per-page rate is not published. Pricing also depends on workflow complexity, not only the Starter starting price.
