About TripLog
TripLog is a mileage and expense app, not a ledger. You drive, the phone GPS starts a trip (MagicTrip, car Bluetooth, Plug-N-Go, or optional Drive or Beacon hardware), and you swipe business or personal. Basic is free unlimited automatic miles plus basic expenses on the phone. Premium unlocks the web dashboard, unlimited reports, OCR receipts, bank and card import, and a click-to-upload into QuickBooks Online or SAP Concur. A sole prop usually emails a year-end report and types the totals onto Schedule C. A shop that reimburses drivers can upload trips as QuickBooks Online Expenses, Bills, or Invoices. Help (29 Oct 2025) says that path needs QuickBooks Online Plus plus TripLog Premium or a team plan. Close still happens in the ledger.
It does not replace QuickBooks Online or Xero. The connector is a filtered upload from the web dashboard, not a live two-way sync. Everlance is another GPS log you export as CSV or PDF, with no documented QuickBooks Online push. Hurdlr adds quarterly tax estimates and, on Pro, a simple general ledger, still with no QuickBooks sync. Expensify reimburses out-of-pocket reports by ACH and syncs coded reports to those books. TripLog's job is automatic miles (free on Basic) plus, for teams, cents-per-mile or FAVR reimbursement that can land in QuickBooks Online, Concur, or payroll.
People who stick are gig drivers, field techs, and office managers who will not start a timer. They like multiple start methods, especially Plug-N-Go, and a cheap Premium year compared with MileIQ. They accept background location, a classify pile, and that Basic reports cover the last seven days unless they use the annual 7-day Premium Pass.

Missed trips and Bluetooth timeouts
Play Store reviews (2026) report Bluetooth start delays, idle timeouts that do not resume, and days that have to be rebuilt by hand. Vendor replied that extending the default 15-minute Bluetooth timeout is a setting.
Tracking that used to work stops working
A June 2026 Play Store review from a long-time paid user said every drive needed a manual update after years of reliable use.

Classify leftover trips, then email a report or click Upload on the web dashboard. A bookkeeper still recs the bank in QuickBooks Online or Xero. Help tells sole props to copy totals onto Schedule C instead of uploading.
Email a CSV or PDF mileage and expense report, or invite an accountant on the Xero path (Xero App Store: upload on your behalf). Totals still get typed into the return unless you uploaded Bills, Expenses, or Invoices.

Optional hardware: TripLog Beacon ($19.99, USB Bluetooth trigger) or TripLog Drive ($79.99, dedicated GPS, no phone required). Basic includes unlimited automatic tracking. You swipe business or personal at the end of the day.
Classify trips and set work hours
Label trips as business, personal, or commute. Work-schedule auto-classification is on Basic. Premium adds frequent-trip rules, route planning, calendar import from Google, Outlook, or Salesforce, and finer auto-start settings. Multiple vehicles are on Basic.
Receipts, fuel, and bank or card lines (Premium)
Basic covers parking, tolls, fuel, and MPG plus typed expenses. Premium adds OCR receipt capture and a bank or credit-card connect for US and Canadian accounts (vendor says 10,000+ institutions, including PayPal). The aggregator is not named. This is an expense inbox, not a ledger bank feed.
Reports, then a QBO or Concur upload
Basic can email the last 7 days from the app, or unlock unlimited reporting for 7 days once a calendar year with the Premium Pass. Premium adds the web dashboard, CSV or PDF, and click-to-upload into QuickBooks Online (as Expenses, Bills, or Invoices) or SAP Concur (Personal Car Mileage plus QuickExpense). Help says QBO upload needs QuickBooks Online Plus. A sole prop is told to copy totals onto Schedule C instead of uploading.
Team mileage reimbursement
Mileage Teams ($8/user/mo) adds approvals, department or office management, custom reporting, and real-time fleet tracking, plus SAP Concur, QuickBooks Online, and Xero uploads. Enterprise ($12/user/mo) adds multi-level approvals, over-reported-mileage flagging, commute policies, GL codes, HIPAA, and SSO. FAVR is a separate seat ($19/$24 per qualifying driver).
Time, scheduling, or Flex mix
A separate Time product (Teams $6/user/mo, Enterprise $8/user/mo on the official AI-assistants page) covers GPS-verified clock-in, PTO, overtime, and job dispatch. Expense Teams is $4/user/mo ($6 Enterprise). Flex bills only on submitted reports each month; the per-report rate is unpublished.
Pricing
A solo driver can stay on $0 Basic and burn the annual 7-day Premium Pass at tax time, or pay $59.99/year for Premium. Vendor blog (24 Jun 2026) also names $5.99/month if billed monthly; the public pricing page only prints the annual $4.99/$59.99 number. A 5-person Mileage Teams shop is $40/month before Expense ($4/user) or Time ($6/user on the official AI-assistants page). Five separate Premium accounts would be about $300/year with no shared approvals. Hidden costs: always-on GPS, optional Beacon ($19.99) or Drive ($79.99), a QuickBooks Online Plus subscription if you want the QBO upload, and FAVR seats at $19 or $24 per qualifying driver.
